Having spent years growing up in Africa and the Middle East, playing veterinarian with native wildlife, and watching her mother become an expert gardener in desert and tropical climates, it's no wonder that horticulture finally became Katrina's passion and career.
As a TCK (third-culture kid), Katrina has experienced many places and careers, but she always returned to nature and the human connection. Her career path includes horticultural therapy, professional and personal gardening, senior living, and 17 years of professional landscape design.
...industry-certified landscape design professional (APLD), Katrina always takes a personal approach in evaluating and designing a site, whether large or small. The connection of plants, space, and people is vital. Budgets and other constraints are always taken into consideration.
...registered horticultural therapist (HTR), Katrina inspires, nurtures, and teaches groups and individuals with genuine care and fun. Her clients always look forward to her sessions. Knowing the value of Nature and her own therapy as a cancer survivor, she embraces Mother Nature, absorbing all that she has to offer and creating and sharing her goodness through purposeful nature-based activities.
